Blake’s research focuses on how young people’s experiences of schooling could be more engaging, equitable and inclusive. He is especially passionate about the use of research evidence in practice and addressing issues of social and educational inequality, with a particular focus on queer students and educators.
He is a PhD Candidate associated the School of Education, Culture and Society, within the Faculty of Education at Monash University. Blake has been awarded an Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend and a Monash Graduate Excellence Scholarship to undertake his PhD.
His thesis is supervised by Associate Professor Mark Rickinson and Professor Richard Pringle.
